Montgomery Smith, died Sunday at his home near Morgantown in his 78th year. He was one of the oldest residents of Hensley township and highly respected. The funeral occurred Tuesday attended by a large concourse of friends and relatives.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undersigned administrator of the estate of Montgomery Smith, deceased, late of Johnson county, Indiana, will sell at public auction on
Tuesday, October 23rd, 1894.
two and one-half miles northeast of Morgantown, Indiana, all the personal property of decedent not taken by the widow, consisting of household and kitchen furniture, plows, buggy, harness, hay in mow, one brood mare, two-year-old colt, sucking colt, two milch cows, two steers and one two-year-old heifer, eighteen head of hogs and shoats, corn in the field and many other articles common to a farm. Also a lot of clover seed.
TERMS.—Cash on sales of $5.00 and under, and all sales over $5.00 a credit until September 1st 1895 will be given, the purchaser giving note with approved surety, bearing no interest if paid at maturity, but if not paid at maturity to bear eight per cent interest from date until paid.
