Marlene B. Smith
      Former Richmond resident Marlene B. Fallis Smith, 66, of Corbin, KY, died
Sunday, March 31, 2002.
      She was born Feb. 4, 1936, in Johnson County to Carl and Lelan Milnes
Fallis.
      She was a retired GTE telephone operator.
      Survivors include her husband, Clarence ÒBillÓ Smith; daughter, Angela
Jones; stepsons, Dennis and Tom Smith; stepdaughters, Vicki Spivey and
Marsha Brooks; and sisters, Maevern Fallis and Letha Hall.
      Service is at 1 p.m. today at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home,
Shelbyville.
      Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, Corbin, KY.

Marlene B. Smith
      Marlene B. Smith, 66, of Keavy, Ky., former Morristown resident, died
Sunday, March 31, 2002, at Regency Baptist Hospital in Corbin, Ky. 
      Born Feb. 4, 1936, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of Carl O. and
Lelan (Milnes) Fallis. She married Clarence "Bill" Smith on April 26,
1976, and he survives. 
      Other survivors include one daughter, Angela Jones of Keavy; two stepsons,
Dennis Smith of Richmond and Tom Smith of Kentucky; two stepdaughters,
Vicki Spivey of Connersville and Marsha Brooks of Richmond; two sisters,
Maevern Fallis of Shelbyville and Letha Hall of Rushville; one
granddaughter; and several stepgrandchildren. 
      Mrs. Smith previously lived in Morristown, then Richmond and she moved to
Kentucky five years ago. 
      She graduated in 1953 from Morristown High School and attended Approve
Beauty College in Indianapolis.
      Mrs. Smith was a telephone operator for 17 years at GTE, retiring in 1979. 
      She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Corbin. 
      Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Glenn E. George & Son
Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Ed Mohr officiating. 
      Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. 
      Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
