Lizzie Smith, wife of Wm. Smith, died Friday morning at her home north of town after an illness of about six months of consumption. Funeral services were held at Whiteland, Saturday conducted by Rev. Jones of the Methodist church. Burial at Greenlawn. Deceased was a daughter of A. J. Stater [sic], and was born in Brown county. She leaves a husband and two small children, age three and four years.
