Set For Saturday

EDINBURG—Mrs. Alice Smith died at 4:45 p.m. Thursday at her home, 728 South Walnut Street, Edinburg, following a two-year ill­ness.

The Rev. Grover Myers of the Apostolic Tabernacle will conduct funeral rites in the church at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be made in Rest Haven cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the Mutz Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith was born in Brown county, July 16, 1880, and was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Smith Anderson. She was married May 22, 1897 to William Smith who died in 1945. She was a mem­ber of the Apostolic Tabernacle Church in Edinburg.

She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Roxie Collier of Edinburg, and Mrs. Vera Harpool of Kentucky; three sons, Charles Smith of Edinburg, Norman and Cecil Smith of Colum­bus; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hamlen of Franklin, and Mrs. Reba Harding of Texas; a brother, Charles And­erson of California; 16 grandchil­dren and nine great grandchildren.

2 Year Illness Fatal to Widow
Funeral Services Saturday

Mrs. Alice Smith, 77, died at 4:45 o’clock Thursday afternoon at her home, 728 Walnut Street, Edinburgh. The widow of William Smith, who died in 1945, she had been ill two years.

Mrs. Smith was a native of Brown County, born July 16, 1880 to William and Elizabeth Smith Hen­derson [Anderson]. She and Mr. Smith were married May 22, 1897.

Funeral rites will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon at Apos­tolic Tabernacle in Edinburg, conduct­ed by the Rev. Grover Myer. Burial will be made at Rest Haven Cemetery at Edinburg. Casket is open at Mutz Funeral Home, Edinburg.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Roxie Collier of Edinburg and Mrs. Vera Harpool of Kentucky; three sons, Charles Smith of Edinburg and Norman and Cecil Smith of Colum­bus; a brother Charles Henderson [sic] of California; two sisters, Mrs. Reba Harding of Texas and Mrs. Mary Ham­blen of Franklin; 16 grandchild­ren and nine great-grandchildren.
