Announce Rites
For E. C. Sledge
GREENWOOD — Everette C. Sledge, 1213 English Ave, Indianapolis, died at General Hospital Sunday morning and will be buried in First Mt. Pleasant cemetery following funeral services, at 2 p.m. in Burkhart’s funeral home in Greenwood.
Friends may call at the funeral home any time and are invited to attend the rites.
Native of County
Mr. Sledge was born in Union township April 8, 1887, and was the son of Julius and Mary Vandivier Sledge. He moved from Johnson county to Indianapolis 30 years ago and worked there as a huckster.
Survivors are four sons: Francis, of Bargersville; Ivory, of Cutler; Harold and Cecil, of Indianapolis; three daughters: Mrs. Beulah Cash and Mrs. Mabel Grimsley, of Indianapolis; and Mrs. Mary Tanner of Riverside, R.I.; one sisetr [sic], Mrs. Deuprez of Syracuse; and 14 grandchildren.
