ROBERT SLATER.
Mrs. Alfred Thompson, of this city, received a telegram Monday announcing the death of her brother, Robert Slater, at Houston, Texas.
Deceased was a son of M. R. Slater, long a resident of Franklin. He worked for his father many years while the latter was engaged in newspaper work.
For several years he had been employed in the office of the Houston Post and at the time of his death was foreman of the office. A wife and one child survive him; also one brother, Richard Slater, of Aurora, Ind., and four sisters, Mrs. Thompson, of this city, Mrs. Nora Dickinson, of Trinidad, Colorado, Mrs. Laura Tussing, of Tucson, Arizona, and Mrs. Kate Miles, of Phoenix, Arizona.
