Luke Sims of Edinburg who shot himself last week lingered until 8 o’clock Wednesday morning when he died from the effect. The revolver used was a .32 caliber and the wound was at the first considered fatal. The ball pierced the left side passing between the two lower ribs below the heart, thus failing to strike the vital point as intended. Hard drinking and remorse are said to be the cause of the deed.
