Pansy Simpson, the seven-year old daughter of Mrs. Albert Turpin, died Monday morning in west Franklin of pneumonia, after a week’s illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday. Burial at the Simpson cemetery, near Providence.

A Tribute.
On Monday, March 22, 1897, after an illness of one week, occurred the death of Pansy Simpson, at the home of her mother, Mrs. Mary Turpin. Pansy was born July 8, 1889, near Providence in this county. This was her second year in school. Her teachers speak of her as a kind and obedient child, always happy in her work. She was loved by both teachers and pupils and will be greatly missed in her class.
