Fannie Short dies Wednesday Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Amity Baptist Church for Mrs. Fannie E. Short, 56, Franklin route five, who died Wednesday afternoon in the Johnson County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Short was born October 1, 1919, in Double Springs, Tenn. She was the daughter of Lewis K. and Roxanne (Walker) Godsey. On April 18, 1942, she married Ernest (Pete) Short in Alabama. Mrs. Short was a resident of Johnson County for the past 25 years. She was a member of Amity Baptist Church and the Ladies Missionary Society. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Deborah) Summers and Mrs. Duaine (Betty) Dormer, both of Franklin; one sister, Mrs. Bonnie Denson of Nashville, Tenn.; three brothers, Altie Godsey of Nashville, Tenn., Jess Godsey of Henderson, Ky., and L. K. Godsey of Double Springs, Tenn.; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. One sister, Mrs. Tennie Hicks, preceded her in death. Friends may call at the Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home in Franklin after 2 p.m. on Friday. Rev. William Fagg will conduct the funeral service.
