Andrew [sic] Shepard, who has been living with George Wyles on the A. Dunlap farm north of town, died suddenly on Wednesday morning of apoplexy. He was getting ready to do some plowing when he was seen to throw up his hands and sink to the ground, dying immediately. Deceased was sixty-five years of age and leaves a wife and several married children.

The undersigned coroner of Johnson county, State of Indiana, did on the 26th day of March, 1890, hold an inquest on the body of Addison [sic] Shepard, late of said county, found dead in Clark Township, in said county on the 26th day of March, 1890.
Having viewed the body and heard the testimony of witnesses, I find that the deceased came to his death by reason of disease of the heart.
