FORT WAYNE Gayle Lynn Shaffer Gayle Lynn Shaffer, 47, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was a resident of Fort Wayne and a former resident of Franklin. She was born Aug. 5, 1954, in Franklin. Her parents were Charles M. and Deloris (Thompson) Rinker. She married William E. Shaffer. He survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Melissa Gaffney of Franklin and Virginia Martindale of Bargersville; a brother, Marvin Rinker of Bargersville; a sister, Yvonne Judd of Bargersville; and two grandchildren. She was a graduate of Center Grove High School. She was employed as a systems analyst by Waterfield Mortgage in Fort Wayne. The Rev. Neal Brown will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hartley Funeral Home, Cicero Chapel. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
