Death of Mrs. Amanda Scott.
Mrs. Amanda Scott, mother of John Beatty and Mrs. T. C. Wyrick of Franklin, died at her home in Greenwood Friday at noon. She had been critically ill for seven weeks, following a stroke of paralysis.
Mrs. Scott, whose maiden name was Amanda Tolin, was born in this county Aug 19, 1850. Her second husband was James Scott, a well known farmer of the Honey Creek neighborhood in White River township. His death occurred in 1912. Mrs. Scott had been a member of the Honey Creek U. B. church for many years. She had lived in Greenwood only a short time.
She is survived by two sons, John Beatty of Franklin and Roy Scott of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. T. C. Wyrick of Franklin; two brothers, James and Benton Tolin, Indianapolis, and two sisters, Mrs. Hester Lovett of New Augusta and Mrs. Martha Powers of Acton.
The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at two o’clock at the Honey Creek church, conducted by the Rev. L. C. Vanatta. Burial in the church cemetery.
