OBITUARY.
Levi Runche [sic], an old and respected citizen of Nineveh township, died at his home Tuesday evening. Mr. Runche had been indisposed for some time but his case was not considered of a serious nature until only a few hours before his death. He was born in Berks County, Penn., May 19, 1830, was married to Mary A. Muck, in Shelby County, July 2, 1854. This union was blessed with eleven children, seven of whom still survive him. Mr. Runche had been a resident of Nineveh Township for several years and was an exemplary member of the Pisgah Christian church. In his death the community loses a prominent citizen, the church a worthy member and the family a kind and a loving husband and father, but they mourn not as one without hope, for their loss is his eternal gain. The funeral services were held at St. George church, on Wednesday morning, conducted by Elder Mathis, after which the remains, followed by a large concourse of relatives and friends were borne to the St. George cemetery, in Shelby county and laid silently to rest, to await the resurrection.
