Death of James Robbins.
James Robbins, a well known farmer in the western part of the county died at his home two and one-half miles west of Bargersville Sunday morning at 7 o’clock. He had been ill only three days and his death was entirely unexpected. Rheumatism which affected his heart, was responsible for his death.
Mr. Robbins was born Jan. 28, 1872 in Jennings county. He was the son of William M. Robbins. For many years he had been a member of the Hopewell church. He is survived by his widow and eight children. They are Mrs. George Haymaker, Ruth, Everett, William, Loren, Ernest, James and Dale. Everett is serving in the U. S. Navy on the Pacific coast. He also leaves his father, William M. Robbins, who lives at Crothersville, five brothers, Sherman, also of Crothersville, Howard and Cale Robbins of this county, Hayes who lives in Iowa and Silas, whose home is in Nebraska, and a sister, Mrs. Walter Whitsett of Franklin.
The funeral will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the U. B. church in Bargersville. Burial in the Hopewell cemetery.
