EDINBURGH — Ronald L. Ridpath, 58, of Edinburgh died at 9:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Administration Medical Center at Indianapolis.
He was an Army veteran, a member of Edinburgh United Methodist Church and American Legion and was a former veneer worker for Amos-Hill Associates Inc. at Edinburgh.
Funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Wright officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Edinburgh American Legion.
Mr. Ridpath was born in Edinburgh Jan. 21, 1941, the son of the late Kenneth C. and Melvena Lay Ridpath.
Survivors include a brother, Carroll Ridpath of Edinburgh; a sister, Mary Pierce of Williamsburg, Ohio; half brothers, Steve Ridpath of Sardinia, Ohio, Robert Ridpath of New Richmond, Ohio, and Michael Ridpath of Batavia, Ohio; half sisters, Sharon Nichols of Middletown, Ohio, Hazel Kane of Las Vegas and Debbie Evans of Shelbyville.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Carl and Charles Ridpath.

Ronald L. Ridpath, 58, Edinburgh, who had relatives in Shelbyville, died Friday at Roudebush Veterans Medical Center in Indianapolis.
Born Jan. 21, 1941, in Edinburgh, he was the son of Kenneth C. and Melvena (Lay) Ridpath. Mr. Ridpath was a U.S. Army veteran.
He had been employed as a veneer worker for Amos-Hill Associates Inc. in Edinburgh.
He was a member of the Edinburgh United Methodist Church and also of the Edinburgh American Legion Post No. 233.
Survivors are one brother, Carroll Ridpath, Edinburgh; one sister, Mary Pierce, Williamsburg, Ohio; three half-brothers, Steve Ridpath, Sardinia, Ohio, Robert Ridpath, New Richmond, Ohio, and Michael Ridpath, Batavia, Ohio; and three half-sisters, Sharon Nichols, Middletown, Ohio, Hazel Kane, Las Vegas, Nev., and Debbie Evans, Shelbyville.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, Edinburgh.
