for Olda Richeson
Olda J. Richeson of Morgantown died today at the Johnson County Memorial Hospital. He was 74 and had been ill for several years.
Mr. Richeson was born in Columbus on March 7, 1901, the son of Marion and Sarah (Coffman) Richeson. His first wife, Violet M. Frazier, preceded him in death in 1945.
He was a retired employee of the Morgantown Chair Factory and as a self-employed upholsterer. He was a member of the Morgantown Masonic Lodge, Morgantown Eastern Star and the United Methodist Church. He had served in the Army during World War I.
In 1972 he was united in marriage with Bernice Mitchell, who survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James Taylor of New Whiteland and Mrs. George Nuffer of West Lafayette; and two sons, Robert L. Richeson, Florida, and Melvin O. Richeson of Galveston, Ind. Eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Meyers-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown with burial in Nineveh Cemetery. Rev. Clarence Davis will conduct the services.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
