Milford A. Richardson, age 79, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Omar Wallace, Friday morning. He had been ill for a year, and two weeks ago his condition became critical. Mr. Richardson was known in Franklin as “Lonnie”.
Funeral services are to be conducted at the Flinn Mortuary Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with the Rev. James T. Lawson in charge. Interment will be in Greenlawn cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 o’clock and in the evening from 7 to 9 o’clock and any time Monday until the service.
Mr. Richardson was born in Hensley Township on June 7, 1869, the son of Bluford Richardson and Martha Anderson Richardson. He received his education in the Hensley Township schools.
His wife, Henrietta, whom he married in Franklin, July 16, 1902, died March 22, 1919.
For 40 years Mr. Richardson was a grocer in west Franklin, for many years operating on West street. Through his business connections, he had become well known in the county.
In his boyhood, Mr. Richardson united with the Mt. Carmel Christian church, later transferring his membership to the Tabernacle Christian church here.
Surviving with the sister are a son, Omer T. Richardson, and a grandson, Bennie Richardson.
