Benjamin B. Ransdell died on last Friday night at his home in the west part of town, aged 80 years, 1 month and 2 days. The funeral took place on Saturday at 2:30 o’clock services being conducted by Rev. L. P. Marshall. The remains were buried in the Hopewell cemetery. Mr. Ransdell had been a citizen of this county since 1829 and was a man of well-known integrity and honesty.

B. B. RANSDELL
Benjamin B. Ransdell, one of the oldest and best loved residents and citizens of the city, died on last Friday afternoon after several days of serious illness. He was one of the sturdy pioneers who helped to make Johnson county what it is. He was full of honor and integrity. Mr. Ransdell was in his eighty-first year.
The funeral services, conducted by Rev. L. P. Marshall, were held on Saturday afternoon, and interment followed at Hopewell.

H. H. Luyster has been appointed administrator of the estate of the late Benj. B Ransdell. His bond is fixed at $3,000.
