at 3:00 o’clock in Indianapolis.

––––––––

Mrs. Mary Ragsdale died at 3:00 o’clock in Dr. O. S. Runnels hospital, where she was operated on Sunday for an intestinal obstruction. She rallied somewhat after the operation was performed but soon began to fail. It was the only possible chance that she had for life and the operation has only been successful in a small percent of cases treated. The remains were brought down on this morning train and taken to her late residence.

The funeral will occur tomorrow morning at 10:00 o’clock. Rev. E. S. Gardiner, pastor of the Baptist church to which she belonged, will conduct the services. The funeral will be at Greenlawn cemetery under the direction of E. G. Barnhizer. Friends of the family are invited. Mrs. Mary Ragsdale was the daughter of E. S. and Elizabeth Terrill. She was born in Jefferson County, Ky., March 14th, 1839. She was married September 9th 1859 to Commodore Tressler, who was killed by a boiler explosion in White River Township, September 23rd, 1864. There were two children born to this union, Everett, who now lives in Indianapolis, and Mrs. Adda Tanner, of Paris, Ills. On July 30th 1867 she was married to William S. Ragsdale, who died two years ago. To them was born one daughter Miss Cora Kemp Ragsdale, of this city.

The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement.
