Report reached here today announcing the death of Fred Ragsdale of near Trafalgar. Mr. Ragsdale has been in poor health for over a year.

Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Trafalgar, Hensley Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, page 197 records that Garrett [sic] Fredric Ragsdale died on 29 May 1900 at his residence in Hensley Township from heart failure of eight hours’ duration, caused by phthesis pneumonialis of six months’ duration, aged fifty-five years. He was male, white, married and a farmer, birthplace Johnson County, Indiana. His father’s name was Harvy [sic] L. Ragsdale and his mother’s maiden name Lucinda Terhune, birthplaces of both Kentucky. The informant was R. S. Byres. Garret was buried in 1st Mt. Pleasant on 1 Jun 1900, E. G. Barnhizer, undertaker.
