Aunt Polly Pierce, widow of Uncle John Pierce, aged 83 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jas. E. Vest, in Rushville last Monday evening and was buried here Wednesday.

Mrs. Polly Pearce [sic] died at her home 1-½ mile north of here Monday. The funeral was held at her late home Wednesday afternoon

Mrs. Stuart Pierce, widow of the late John Pierce, who died in 1889, died Monday evening at 8:30, at the home of her son-in-law, James Vest, north of town. Deceased was born in Virginia in 1813. She had been sick less than two weeks with pneumonia. Funeral Wednesday morning at the house, conducted by Rev. Jones. Burial at Greenwood.
