The eighteen [sic] months old daughter of Homer Patterson and wife died last Friday at Needham. Funeral services were held on Saturday morning at 9 o’clock. Burial at the Patterson cemetery.

Notes: The 1900 US Federal Census for Needham, Johnson County, Indiana, taken 20 Jun 1900, records thirty-two-year-old, Indiana-born barber Homer Patterson, his twenty-three-year-old, Indiana-born wife Ada Patterson and their six-month-old, Indiana-born daughter Emma [sic Anna] Patterson. Anna was born Nov 1899.
Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Needham, Needham Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, page 177 records that Anna E. Patterson died at about 8 o’clock a. m. on 7 Aug 1900 in Needham from congenital hydrocephalus, aged eight months. She was female and white. Her father's name was Homer Patterson and her mother's maiden name Ada Daniels, both born in Indiana. The informant was Wm. Patterson. Anna was buried in the Patterson Cemetery on 4 Aug 1900, E. G. Barnhizer, undertaker.
