Ira Parr
Morgantown resident Ira Emerson Parr, 89 passed away Wednesday night at the Morgan County Hospital after an illness of several days.
Parr was born September 30, 1882 to Robert and Rebbeca Alexandar [sic] Parr in Johnson county. He married Flora Devore August 13, 1903. She preceded him in death in 1949.
A son, Harold Parr, Trafalgar, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren survive.
Parr had resided in Johnson county before moving to Morgantown in 1928. He was a retired farmer.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday from the Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
The Rev. Myron Young of the Morgantown Baptist church will officiate at the last rites.
Burial will follow in the East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.

He was male, white, widowed, and a farmer. His father’s name was Robert S. Parr and his mother’s name Rebecca Alexander. The informant was Ira’s son Harold Parr of Trafalagar, Indiana 46181. Burial was at East Hill Cemetery, Morgantown, Indiana on 20 Nov 1971, Clark Funeral Home, Funeral Director.
