Mrs. Morning [sic] Parkhurst, aged 81 years, died Sunday morning of old age. The remains were interred in the Bethlehem cemetery Monday evening.

OBITUARY.
Mourning Parkhurst was born April 16, 1816 in Knoxville, Tenn. She was the daughter of Thomas Hudiburgh. She came to Indiana in 1828. She joined the Bethlehem Baptist church in 1832, at the age of 16 years. She married Bloomfield Hensley, Aug. 22, 1833, and settled on the farm known as the Hensley farm and still owned by their heirs. There were born to them 9 children, 5 boys and 4 girls. Bloomfield Hensley departed this life Jan. 9, 1852. She married John Parkhurst, Oct. 28, 1860, and they lived together 15 years. John Parkhurst died in the year 1875, in Morgantown, August 13. Mourning Parkhurst died Oct. 10, 1897, aged 81 years, 5 months, and 24 days. She leaves three children: Malvina Busey, Thomas Hensley and Clementine Obenchain and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren to mourn her loss. She was devoted to her church, a kind wife and a loving mother. Funeral services were held Oct. 11, at Bethlehem church conducted by Rev. Hampton of Tennessee, assisted by Rev. John Wolfington.
