FLOSSIE M. OWENS DIES THURSDAY MORNING Mrs. Flossie Maybelle Owens, 86, Edinburgh, mother of Dale and Jack Owens and Maxine Tobias of Edinburgh, died early Thursday morning at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. She had become ill at her home Tuesday evening and first was taken to Johnson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. David Bremer at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eskew Funeral Home. Burial was at Rest Haven Cemetery with John Drybread, Kenny Clark, Robert Sheckles, Dewayne Burton, Richard Allman and Randy Pike serving as pall-bearers. Mrs. Owens was born Aug. 23, 1892, in Brown County the daughter of Charles and Siner Catherine Coy Clark and was married to Roy Owens in 1910. In early life, she was a member of Anderson Church in the former Camp Atter- bury area. Other survivors include two sons, Robert Owens of Columbus and Maurice Owens of Greenwood; three other daughters, Betty Marshall of Clifford, Doris Payne of New Albany and June Kaye of Oak Park, Ill., 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Harold and Carroll Owens, a brother Sylvester Clark, and a sister, Mattie Gullette.
