Mrs. Owens, wife of Clark Owens, died last Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, at her home in Needham township, after a lingering illness.
Deceased was formerly Miss Cora Brickert, sister of ex-trustee John T. Brickert, of White River township. She was married to Clark Owens, June 15, 1898. To this union one child, a daughter, was born, who, with the bereaved husband, survives.
Mrs. Owens was a graduate of the White River township high school and for several years after graduation was a successful teacher in the schools of that township. She was a member of the Bluff Creek Christian church and was always active in church duties and in the Christian Endeavor society of that place.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Christian church in Franklin, conducted by Rev. C. R. Hudson. Burial at Second Mt. Pleasant.
