The infant daughter of Dillard Ogden and wife, of Union township died sometime Sunday night. On Monday morning when Mr. Ogden and wife awoke the child, which was lying in the bed between them, was found to be dead. The child had been weak from birth and death is supposed to be due from inanition.

Alma, the five months old daughter of Dillard Ogden and wife, died Monday morning at 3 o’clock. The remains were interred in Greenlawn cemetery.
Note: The Johnson County Indiana WPA Birth Index, 1882–1920, referencing Book H-11, page 53, records that a white female infant was born to Dillard Ogden and Julia Hunter on 2 Jun 1896.
The Johnson County Indiana WPA Death Index, 1882–1920 page 148, referencing Book H-18, page 25, records that Alma Ogden, a five-month-old white female, died on 31 Oct 1896 in Indiana.
