John A. Nolte John A. Nolte, 74, died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at his residence in Greenwood.
He was born Jan. 31, 1930, in Phoenix. His parents were John A. Nolte and Maxine (Downey) Nolte VanSickle. He married Maxine (Ferguson) Nolte on Oct. 3, 1953, in Kokomo. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Gregory Alan Nolte of Greenwood and John R. Nolte of Indianapolis; a daughter, Gayle Anderson of Indianapolis; a brother, David VanSickle of Roachdale; a sister, Marce Henschen of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was a 1953 graduate of Purdue University.
He was employed by Indiana Insurance in insurance claims for 15 years, retiring in 1993. He also was an apartment manager.
He was a member of Southport Heights Christian Church and a former member of Gray Road Baptist Church.
The Revs. David Soucie and Reese Johnson will conduct a memorial service at noon today at Southport Heights Christian Church. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until time of service today at the church. Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center in Indianapolis is handling arrangements.
