Steve Dallas Nelson

Steve Dallas Nelson, 71, passed away Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, 
at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a resident of 
Greenwood.

He was born April 25, 1936, in Bloomington. He married 
Rebecca Sue "Becky" (Ray)Nelson on April 10, 1988. She sur-
vives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Michelle Hughes 
and Tonjia Coughly; ason, Stevie Nelson; eight grand-
children, Daniel Moberly, Michelle Moberly, Steven Nelson, 
Sarah Nelson, Amber Rogers, Cody Small, Shelby Hughes and 
Kyle Hughes; two great-grandchildren, Lanae and Jordan; 
a brother, Charles Nelson; and a sister, Doris Moiser. 
He also is survived by Ruby Chasten and Jesse Stevens, 
who raised Steve. He was preceded in passing by a daughter, 
Lanae Moberly.

He attended school in Bloomington.

Steve was a superintendent with Dura Builders and Rutland 
Homes, retiring after several years of service.

He was a member of Trinity Southern Baptist Church in 
Indianapolis and was a life member of the American Bass 
Association.

Pastor Doyle Lakes will conduct a service at 10:30 a.m. 
Monday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. 
in Franklin. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the 
funeral home. Burial will be at Acton Cemetery.
