Wm. H. Needham, who suffered a paralytic stroke while on his way to Franklin to attend a rally during the campaign of 1888, died at his home in Needham Sunday night, aged about fifty-five years. Since he was stricken with paralysis he has been very feeble but the direct cause of his death is attributed to inflammation and ulceration of the bowels. Mr. Needham was well known all over the county and had a host of warm friends, who were much surprised to hear of his death, for although he was in feeble health, it was not generally known that his condition was dangerous. The funeral took place from the Second Mt. Pleasant church on Tuesday afternoon.
