Rudolph Elliott ’Rudy’ Mosteller
Rudolph Elliott "Rudy" Mosteller, 
95, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001, 
at Todd-Aikens Health Center in 
Franklin. He was a resident of 
Franklin.

He was born Jan. 13, 1906, in 
Slatington, Pa. His parents 
were George H. and Lottie May 
(Horney) Mosteller. He married 
Rose Abgee on July 13, 1941. 
She preceded him in death July 
27, 2001. Survivors include 
two sons, David Hammond Mosteller 
of Slatington, Pa., and Roger 
Lee Mosteller of Ocean City, Md.; 
two daughters, Barbara Ann Smith 
of Ringgold, Ga., and Georgia 
"Jo Pie" Limp of Franklin; a 
sister, Marie Butz of Easton, 
Pa.; several grandchildren; 
and several great-grandchildren. 
He was preceded in death by a 
son, Jack Mosteller; a brother; 
and two sisters.

He was a 1924 graduate of Slating-
ton High School in Slatington, Pa.

He was employed for 25 years by 
Public Service Indiana as an 
electrician, retiring in 1971.

He was a member of St. JohnÔs 
Lutheran Church in Slatington, 
Pa., Franklin Masonic Lodge 107, 
Franklin American Legion Post 205, 
Franklin VFW Post 2552, Murat 
Shrine, Scottish Rite Valley of 
Indianapolis, Moose Lodge 292 in 
Sharon, Pa., and was a retired 
member of the AFL-CIO United 
Electrical Workers Union.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran, 
serving in World War II in 
the Pacific.

The Rev. Richard C. Martin 
will conduct a service at 2 
p.m. Saturday at Vandivier-
Tudor Funeral Home in Franklin. 
Friends may call from 4 to 8 
p.m. today at the funeral home, 
where Franklin Masonic Lodge 
107 will conduct a Masonic 
service at 8 p.m. Burial will 
be at Greenlawn Cemetery in 
Franklin.
