Mrs. William Mitchell, age forty-three years, died Sunday at her home in Edinburg. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon.
Justice T. A. Goodin with Drs. Porter Myers and F. M. Cupp, held an inquest Sunday morning to ascertain the mental condition of Mrs. Wm. Mitchell, and expected to report at Franklin Monday, but as Mrs. Mitchell died in the afternoon no report is necessary.—Ed. Call.

Mrs. Wm. Mitchell of Edinburg, was buried at the Young’s Creek cemetery Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Mitchell was a sister of Tom Stewart.

Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Edinburg, Blue River Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, page 157 records that Evaline H. Mitchell died at about 2 o’clock p. m. on 13 May 1900 in Edinburg from acute mania of five days’ duration, contributory cause nervous exhaustion, aged forty years, six months and twelve days. She was female, white, married and a housewife, born in Kentucky. Her father’s name was Thomas Stewart and her mother’s maiden name Nancy Greek [sic Gist per Evaline's Kentucky birth record], both born in Kentucky. The informant was William D. Mitchell. She was buried in Youngs Creek Cemetery, J. M. Breeding, undertaker.
