W. Lansing Miller

W. Lansing Miller, 80, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital &
Health Centers in Beech Grove. He was a lifelong resident of Union Township.

He was born Nov. 12, 1921, in Union Township. His parents were Hershel and
Virginia (Poulter) Miller. He married Margaret Leona (Woods) Miller on March 10,
1943. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Pamela Lee Zook of
Franklin and Cathy Irene Sledge of Bargersville; a sister, Barbara McQuinn of
Florida; one granddaughter; and three grandsons. He was preceded in death by an
infant son, Randy Joe Miller.

He was a 1940 graduate of Union Township High School.

He was a longtime farmer and a bus driver for 40 years for Union Township and
Franklin Township schools.

He was a member of and past deacon for Providence Christian Church. He was a
member of Johnson County Farm Bureau and Union Alumni Association.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Signal Corps in the Pacific Theater.

The Rev. Steven Sorenson will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at
Vandivier-Tudor Funeral Home in Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until
time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn
Cemetery in Franklin.
