DEATH OF MRS. McCRAE.
Mrs. Mary McCrae [sic] died Tuesday afternoon at her home in the Hurricane neighborhood, aged 74 years. Mrs. McCrae [sic] had been in poor health for a number of years. She was born in Kentucky but had spent the greater part of her life in this county. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Methodist church in Franklin, conducted by Rev. J. G. Schalbly, pastor of the M. P. church of Hurricane. Burial at Greenlawn.

Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Clark Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, page 148 records that Mary Ann McRae died at about 11:30 o’clock a. m. on 18 Sep 1900 at her residence in Clark Township, Johnson County, Indiana from defective nutrition of the heart muscle, caused by general arteriosclerosis of four years' duration, aged seventy-two years, no months and no days. She was female, white, and widowed, born in Kentucky. Her parents' names were Asbury and Mary Ann Norton [sic], both born in Virginia. The informant was Jon McRae. Mary Ann was buried in Franklin, Indiana on 20 Sep 1900, E. G. Barnhizer, undertaker.
