E. C. [sic] McIlvain after a lingering illness from consumption, died Monday morning at his home in Nineveh. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon.

Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Nineveh, Nineveh Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, page 145 records that Curry J. MacIlvain [sic] died at about 8 o’clock a. m. on 20 Aug 1900 in Nineveh, Indiana from cardiac insufficiency, caused by acute tuberculosis, aged forty-six years, eleven months and twenty-five days, born in Brown County. He was male, white, married and an undertaker. His father’s name was James W. MacInvain [sic], born in Ohio, and his mother’s maiden name Louisa Mead, born in Virginia. The informant was Lorna MacIlvain [sic]. Crary was buried in Nineveh on 22 Aug 1900, J. M. Breeding, undertaker.
