Andrew J. McDonald, 84, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2003, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin.
He was born April 22, 1919, in Franklin. His parents were Clarence and Minnie (Morrison) MacDonald. He married Fay Helms on Jan. 25, 1941. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Ann Brewer and Kay McDonald, both of Franklin; two sisters, Virginia Prince of Franklin and Catherine Jennings of Canton, Ga.; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry MacDonald and Bud McDonald.
He attended Franklin community schools.
He was employed by Alexander Chevrolet as a car salesman and later owned Jackson Street Auto Parts for several years.
He was a member of Fair Haven Christian Church.
He owned several race horses and also loved fishing.
The Rev. Steve Fair will conduct a service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. in Franklin. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
