Rev. T. B. McClain, a well-known Methodist minister, died Saturday morning at Greenwood, where he had resided for two years. During that time he had been an invalid. Death was due to Bright’s disease. Funeral took place Tuesday afternoon.

Resolutions of Respect.
Whereas, it has pleased Almighty God to allow death to remove from our midst our beloved brother, Rev. T. B. McClain, May 1, 1897, therefore be it
Resolved, That we realize with sadness that an Odd Fellow in spirit and in truth has been called away. We learned to love him for his fraternal spirit and hopeful cheerfulness, even in great affliction. His life of faith encourages us to live more closely to the teachings of our order.
Resolved, That we hereby tender our sympathy to his mourning companion, Mrs. L. B. McClain, and ask the secretary to furnish her a copy of these resolutions.
Resolved, That we, also, sympathise [sic] with Milton Lodge No. 111 I. O. O. F., in the loss of this, one of her members, and assure them that we have faithfully endeavored to do our duty toward him in his sickness and in giving his body a proper burial. The secretary is hereby instructed to send a copy of these resolutions to that lodge.
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be furnished the county papers for publication
