Mrs. Samuel McClain, who had been sick but a few days, died last Thursday night about 10 o’clock. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church, conducted by Rev. Jones of Whiteland, and Rev. Siems, of Acton. Deceased was born Dec. 30, 1825, and was married to Mr. McClain in 1844. Her maiden name was Crittinon [sic]. She was a member of the Glade church. A husband, two sons and one daughter are left to mourn their loss, two sons having preceded her to the grave.
