JAMES L. ’LARRY’ MARTIN
James L. "Larry" Martin, 63, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001. He was a resident of Franklin.
He was born April 29, 1938, in Owen County. His father was James W. Martin. His mother is Mildred B. (Dittemore) Martin of Whiteland. Other survivors include a daughter, Sherrie L. Nicholson of Greenwood; three sisters, Gay Patterson of Franklin, and Joy Perry and Darlene West, both of Whiteland; two brothers, Danny Martin of Franklin and Ray Martin of Bargersville; a special friend, June Haymaker; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was employed for 40 years as a farmer, retiring in April 2001.
He was a member of the Johnson County Farm Bureau and a charter member of White River Jaycees.
A service will conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
