FRANKLIN Winifred J. Marling Winifred J. Marling, 81, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin. She was a resi- dent of Franklin. She was born Jan. 15, 1920, in Crawfordsville. Her parents were Charles and Helen (Baynes) McDonald. She married Ernest M. Marling. He preceded her in death Jan. 4, 1993. Survi- vors include a daughter, Nancy Shepherd of Friendship; two sons, Charles Marling of New Palestine and Rex Marling of Indianapolis; a stepson, Thomas Marling of Lebanon; a brother, Donald McDonald of Seymour; seven grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son. She worked for the finance center at Fort Benjamin Harrison for 23 years, retiring in 1980 as a military pay supervisor. She was a member of Fourth Church of Christ Scientist in Indianapolis, Professional Business Women’s Association and OES Englewood Chapter 715. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, State Road 135 Chapel. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
