James Magill, well known to many citizens of Johnson county, died at his room in the Hulsman Block at eight o’clock last Monday morning of acute pneumonia. He was ill only a short time, being taken sick Friday. Mr. Magill was a most genial man and had many friends in this city who regretted much his sudden demise. His body was taken to his brother’s home, John Magill’s, and the funeral services were held there Tuesday afternoon, being conducted by Revs. L. P. Marshall and E. I. Davies of Hopewell Presbyterian church. The burial was at the Hopewell cemetery.
