  Lucy M. (Wilkerson) Lawlis,
91, died Sunday, May 22, 2005,
at Todd-Aikens Health Center
in Franklin. She was a
resident of Bargersville.
  She was born Feb. 7, 1914, in
Bargersville. Her parents were
Wilbur and Nettie (Shaffer)
Wilkerson. She married Lester
Lawlis. He preceded her in
death in 1980. Survivors
include a son, Richard Lawlis
of Franklin; a daughter, Susan
Rullo of Bargersville; a
sister, Doris Browning of
Bargersville; six
grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by two
sisters, Naomi Wilkerson and
Fern Sands; and three
brothers, Fred, Arnold and
George Wilkerson.
  She had worked for L.S. Ayers
in Indianapolis, Rider Canning
Factory in Trafalgar and, most
recently, Greenwood Village
South in housekeeping for 10
years.
  A service will be conducted at
10 a.m. Wednesday at Jessen
Funeral Home, 729 U.S. 31
North in Whiteland. Friends
may call from 4 to 8 p.m.
Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at First Mount
Pleasant Cemetery in Franklin.
