Bernice A. Larson, 82, died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at Lincoln Center East in Connersville. She was a resident of Connersville.
She was born Feb. 7, 1921, in Fayette County. Her parents were Myrtie (Ard) and Walter Maple Sr. She married Charles T. Larson on Aug. 22, 1948, at Central Christian Church in Connersville. He preceded her in death April 28, 1993. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Emma Faye Ingram of Brown County; a stepson, Larry L. Larson of Greasy Creek, Tenn.; a nephew; three nieces; a great-nephew; four great-nieces; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Jackie Myers; a brother, Kenneth Maple; a sister, Mae Agnes Ludlow; a niece, Joyce Usher; and a granddaughter, Rebecca Hadley.
She graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1939.
She worked for Woolworth 5 and 10 Store and Stant Manufacturing.
She was a member of Alquina United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
The Rev. Carol Wiley will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home in Connersville. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Union Cemetery.
