EDINBURG, April 15—George King, 30 years of age, passed away at his home on South Walnut street, Thursday afternoon at 5:45 o’clock, following a ten days’ serious illness. Mr. King had been an invalid for almost five years as a result of a fall from a tree that caused paralysis. The fall occurred as he attempted to catch a squirrel for Mr. Carvin who was an invalid at that time and who died a week ago.
Mr. King was born March 21, 1902, the son of Charles and Christian Boucher King. On Sept. 1, 1923, he was married to Miss Pearl Wells, and to this union one son, Lawrence Leroy, was born. He was employed at the Edinburg cabinet factory at the time of his injury.
Surviving him are the parents, the widow and son, one sister Mrs. Josie McLain of Franklin; four brothers, Curt King, of Indianapolis; William, Frank and Floyd King at home with the parents in Needham.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Edinburg Methodist church with the Rev. Orville Owens, Shelbyville, in charge. Burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery.
