A special from Martinsville says that during the thunder storm Thursday of last week, Nicholas, the fifteen year old son of Nicholas Junger, of this city, was killed by lightning. He and Oliver Bailey had gone to the river fishing and took refuge under a tree during a heavy thunder storm. Some men had a tent nearby and tried to get the boys to go into it, but they were too timid. Lightning struck the tree and instantly killed Junger. Bailey was unhurt.
