Edinburgh Senior Citizens member Mary Alice Jones Edinburgh EDINBURGH -- Mary Alice Jones, 88, of Edinburgh died at 1:55 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2000, at her home. Mrs. Jones was an ac- tive member of Edinburgh Senior Citizens and attended Edinburgh Methodist Church for 46 years. She was a former employee of a shirt factory in Columbus and Amos Plastics in Edinburgh. She attended Edinburgh schools. Funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Eskew–Eaton Funeral Home with the Rev. Byron Fritz officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana. Mrs. Jones was born in Edinburgh March 26, 1912, the daughter of Noah and Emma McClure Fisher. She married Ernie Jones Dec. 1, 1930. He died Nov. 9, 1959. Survivors include sons, Billy Jones of Mount Auburn and Terry Jones of Edinburgh; a brother, James "Jay" Fisher of Shelbyville; a sister, Mable Gardner of Edinburgh; five grandchildren and 11 great–grandchildren.

Mary Alice Jones Mary Alice Jones Mary Alice Jones, 88, Edinburgh, sister of a Shelbyville man, died Saturday at her home. Born March 26, 1912, in Edinburgh, she was the daughter of Noah and Emma (McClure) Fisher. She married Ernie Jones on Dec. 1, 1930, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 1959. Mrs. Jones was formerly employed at the Shirt Factory, Columbus, and Amos Plastics, Edinburgh. She was a member of Edinburgh Senior Citizens and attended the Edinburgh United Methodist Church for 46 years. She attended Edinburgh Public Schools. Survivors include two sons, Billy Jones, Mount Auburn, and Terry Jones, Edinburgh; one brother, James "Jay" Fisher, Shelbyville; one sister, Mable Gardner, Edinburgh; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
