Sarah Icenogle, residing on Grant street, died last Thursday of typhoid malaria, and was buried Friday. On Sat­urday her husband [Christian L. Ice­nogle] died of apoplexy and was buried Sun­day. Rev. O’Neal of the M. E. church, officiated in both cases.

The Record of Returns of Marriages in the County of Switzerland, Indiana records John L. Icenogle, Christian and Sarah’s son as giving his mother’s maiden name as Cofner on his 22 Aug 1883 marriage to Belle Kensett.
