John Hyder died Sunday at his home in Indianapolis, age eighty-eight years. Deceased came from Germany in 1848, settling in Franklin and residing here until 1893 when he went to Indianapolis to live with his children. The remains were brought to Franklin Wednesday morning for burial.
Note: The Johnson County Indiana WPA Death Index, 1882–1920 page 101, referencing Book H-18, page 4, records that Jno. Hyde, an eighty-eight-year-old white male, died 21 Jul 1896 in Indianapolis.
