Rites Set Sunday
Funeral services for James Huntsman, of Flat Rock, husband of a former Johnson county resident, Mrs. Ruth Mills Huntsman, will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Norman Funeral Home in Hope.
Burial will take place in the Flat Rock Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home at any time and are invited to the rites.
Two months ago Mr. Huntsman had suffered a heart attack but had not been able to return to work. Thursday he suffered another and died in the Bartholomew County Hospital at Columbus at 6 p.m.
He was born July 29, 1927, at Columbus and his parents were Mrs. Frank Huntsman and the late Mr. Huntsman. He was a graduate of Columbus High School.
He and his wife, the former Ruth Mills, were the parents of six children. Most of their married life had been spent East of Columbus and Flat Rock.
Mr. Huntsman had been a carpenter and farmer. During World War II, he served with the United States Army. One of his hobbies was raising ponies.
Those who survive with the widow are the children, Sharon, age 13; Garry, 11; [missing name], nine-year-old; Terry, age five; Barry, three-years-old; and Perry, who will be a year-old in November; and the mother.
