DEATH OF ROBERT S. HUNT

Robert S. Hunt died at his residence in Hidalgo, Ill., Nov. 17, 1918, after an illness of several weeks. He was born in Johnson county, Indiana, on the 21st day of December, 1842. Age 75 years, 11 months and 17 days. He spent the early part of his life on the farm and attended school at Edinburg, Ind. He began teaching at the age of 18 years and was for 20 years one of the most popular teachers of that county.
He was united in marriage to Margaret J. Higgins of Johnson county, Indiana, March 5, 1868. To this union five children were born, Dallas F., Frank P., Anna Dale, Ida Estelle and Homer Hershel. Dallas, Anna and Frank preceded their father to that better land.
Mr. Hunt became a member of the Christian church in Indiana and after moving to Illinois, united with the Christian church, east Hidalgo.
His wife, two children, Ida Hunt Richardson, of Oklahoma, and Homer H. Hunt, of Fulton, Ky.; grandchildren, Winifred C. and Dallas T. Harrell, Irene and Beulah Hunt, Aldyth M. and Cloyce L. Hunt, and Lillian Mercedes Richardson, as well as a brother James G. Hunt, of Trafalgar, two sisters, Mrs. Cynthia Jane Cooper of Martinsville, and Sarah Margaret Anderson of Trafalgar, Ind., and a host of relatives and friends are left to mourn his death.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. McCash of Hazel Dell, at the residence, after which his remains were laid to rest in the family lot, at the Sivick [Swick] cemetery on the 19th day of November, 1918.
